Scarlett Johansson, Christina Aguilera and Mila Kunis were among the 50 other celebrities who became the target of 35 year old hacker Christopher Chaney of Jacksonville from Florida, USA. Chaney was arrested today by FBI under the operation named “Operation Hackerazzi“. 26 hacking related charges including accessing protected computers without authorization, damaging protected computers, wiretapping and aggravated identity theft and more were indited on the hacker.
FBI claimed that Chaney got the access to his target celebrities by checking out the social networks which the victims were using and then allegedly guessing out their usernames and passwords by the clues he gathered. Once he was able to hack into the computers and other devices used by these victims, the hacker was able to retrieve financial info, privately logged conversations, movie scripts and, nude photos.
U.S. Attorney Andre Birotte Jr said, “Unfortunately, Mr. Chaney was able to access nude photos of some of the celebrities and some of them were uploaded on the Internet.”
If Chaney is convicted of all the 26 charges on him, he will be getting 121 years of federal imprisonment.
